About Pilar Hernández Con
Pilar Hernández Con, MD, MSCE is a graduate assistant and a fourth-year PhD student in the Department of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy, University of Florida. She received her M.D. degree from the Universidad de Costa Rica and her MSCE from the University of Pennsylvania. She practiced as a primary care physician for six years in her native country (Costa Rica) before starting her training in epidemiology / pharmacoepidemiology. Pilar’s research interest lies in the intersection between pharmacoepidemiology and health services research, in a broad range of disease areas including Parkinson’s disease, HCV infection and NAFLD.
