Almut Winterstein receives the UF College of Pharmacy Research Impact Award 2025

Congratulations to Almut Winterstein for receiving the UF College of Pharmacy Research Impact Award 2025.

Dr. Winterstein’s recent research has focused on risks of medications with unknown safety profiles taken during pregnancy, and the etiology and prevention of exposure to teratogenic medications during pregnancy. Her work over the last several years has been critical to expanding our understanding of the risks to infants, has been well-funded by FDA, NIH and CDC, and has led to a number of high-impact publications in major medical journals. More to the point, her findings have had a direct impact on both patient care as well as drug policy.
